Top 3 fund houses buy select midcaps and smallcaps in August


The top three fund houses by assets under administration namely SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF have bought select middle and small cap shares in August, shows information from Accord Fintech.

Among midcap names, SBI MF increased its exposure to Bharat Forge and Ramco Concrete. The fund house designed fresh purchases in V-Guard worth Rs 170 crore in August. V-Guard the appliance manufacturer with a market cap of Rs 7540 crore, is favoured because of its long term growth outlook. and strong mangement. Among little cap names, the fund house made purchases in VST Companies, Persistent Systems, NCC, Fairchem and Finolex Industries.

Teamlease saw its selling price move by 41% in the last three months. Amongst midcaps the fund house included Kajaria Ceramics and Sunrays TV and booked earnings in Yes Bank.
