Silver futures up on spot demand

Silver selling prices on Monday rose simply by Rs 704 to Rs 67,970 per kilos in futures trade since participants widened their table bets on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Swap, silver contracts for January gained Rs 704, or perhaps 1.05 per cent, for you to Rs 67,970 every kg in 15,465 lots.

Analysts said often the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions constructed up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Silver was trading 1.30 per cent up from USD 27.06 every ounce in New York.
