Second $1,200 stimulus checks could be coming. For many, that won’t cover the rent

Negotiations over the next coronavirus stimulus package deal on Capitol Hill finished the week in a stalemate.

But there’s one kind of help lawmakers reportedly decide on: a second set of stimulus checks.

This week’s political atascamiento prompted President Donald Overcome to sign executive orders placed on Saturday aimed at providing fast relief in certain areas like extra unemployment benefits, increasing the federal moratorium with evictions, deferring some educational loan payments and initiating the payroll tax holiday.

Washington lawmakers are at prospects on how much extra federal government unemployment to provide to out of work workers. Democrats want to keep on the extra $600 a week through January. Republicans include proposed reducing that to help $200 per week through Sept, followed by a 70% income replacement through December.
