Nickel futures rise on firm spot demand

New Delhi: Nickel prices went up by 2.40 per cent in order to Rs 1,114.10 per kg in futures trade on Monday like speculators built fresh placements on rising demand by alloymakers in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Change, nickel contracts for Sept delivery gained Rs 2.40, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs one,114.10 per kilogram in a business turnover of just one,812 lots. The rise in demand from alloymakers in spot market primarily supported the price rise inside nickel futures, analysts explained.
