Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries breaks into top 100 global companies

New Delhi: Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has jumped 10 places to break into the particular world’s top 100 companies on the Fortune Global 500 list. The oil-to-telecom conglomerate is ranked 96th inside 2020 ranking released by means of Fortune on Tuesday.

This is the highest any American indian company has been ranked in the Fortune Global 500 collection.

Reliance had broken into the top 100 throughout 2012 ranking when it has been ranked 99th but tucked in subsequent years to help rank 215th in 2016. Since then it has risen progressively, according to the ranking.

Other Indian firms out there include Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) at ranking 309th, Tata Motors on 337, and Rajesh Export products at 462.

Fortune claimed companies are ranked by means of total revenues for their particular fiscal years ended about or before March 31, 2020.

While Reliance came up with revenue of USD 86.2 billion, IOC got revenue of USD 69.2 billion. ONGC got revenue of USD 57 billion and SBI got USD 51 billion.
